We source fat from biodynamic butchers whenever possible, working with regenerative farms across Victoria. These aren’t just words we throw around loosely, the way animals are raised and farms are managed genuinely affects the quality of the final product. As demand has grown, we’ve also expanded our sourcing to include trusted organic suppliers in Melbourne, while keeping the same focus on local, high-quality fat.

We carefully render the fat five times with filtered water and Celtic sea salt to create a clean, pure base, removing impurities at each step. After this, we perform three dry renders to evaporate any remaining water, ensuring a stable product with a long natural shelf life.

Finally, we blend in almond oil as a nourishing carrier and infuse gentle essential oils for a natural scent, then whip everything into a smooth, airy texture that makes the final product light, pleasant, and effortless to apply, before filling each jar by hand with care. For our lip balms, we add a touch of beeswax to create a firmer texture that protects and nourishes the lips.
